Co-operatives Wales warmly welcomes the launch of Progressive Voices Cymru: Lleisiau Blaengar Cymru

….and its ambition to create an open space for serious discussion about the policies Wales will need over the coming decade. We would welcome opportunities for the Substack to explore:

  • co-operative and community ownership as part of Wales’s economic future;
  • community wealth building and local procurement;
  • place making, focused upon HOW as much as the WHAT and what can be learnt from the effective use of UK Pride in Place guidelines;
  • co-operative approaches to housing, childcare, social care and education;
  • worker ownership and succession planning;
  • the role of credit unions and mutual finance;
  • co-operative education, youth co-operation and the meaningful participation of children and young people;
  • inclusive policy-making involving disabled people, minority ethnic communities and people whose voices are frequently excluded; and
  • the contribution of co-operatives to a fair, democratic and sustainable Wales.
